Peer tutoring is one of the college academic resources under the Academic Advising Resources Center (AARC) that you can take advantage of for free! Moreover, being a tutor can be a great on-campus job opportunity if you enjoy helping people and feel like you have a good understanding of a language or some courses you have taken at Oberlin.
This page will provide a step-by-step guideline for how to request for a tutor or apply to be a tutor. You are also encouraged to check out the official webpage for peer tutoring. Furthermore, peer tutoring is class specific. For general help on quantitative skills, see Drop-in QS Tutor. The Oberlin College also have other academic resources and support that we encourage you to check out.

If you run into a question that you want to talk about with someone who has taken the class before, and you have not applied for a individual tutor or think that would be unnecessary, drop-in tutoring sessions can also be a great opportunity for you! At the beginning of every semester, the Academic Advising Resources Center (AARC) releases information about time and location for all the offered drop-in tutoring sessions on the official webpage for peer tutoring. A great amount of classes with high demand on tutoring sessions by previous students will have such opportunities. During the drop-in hours, you don’t need to make an appointment before coming to any of the sessions - just remember to bring questions that you have with you!
